My foster mom contacted some folks from Port Townsend, Bill & Laura. Their bulldog Caesar passed away a month ago and the other bully in the house, Penny was very sad. They wanted to come and meet me and bring Penny to see if she liked me. Sheesh, how could you not like me? The handsome guy that I am anyway.....
Well Sunday, on Mothers Day, they came to see me and they sure thought I was a handsome, BIG guy!!! They thought they would take me home and try me out. I think I will go with them and try them out too....
Oh and they have changed my name to Moose. That fits too. After all, I am quite a large boy, 79#s and all muscle, no fat. :)

The Vet
Well I went to the vet and holy cow did they take out a lot of my teeth!! Six total. I had one that was in the front down under my tongue. There was a little hole there and the hygenist pulled it out thru the hole. ICK!!! One of my back molars was so abcessed and full of infection, I had to stay on Metronitozole for 5 whole days to get rid of all the germs. I get to be on soft food for 10 days too. I am already feeling better too.

I just dont
understand how they could have just let me go and get lost. They didnt even try to find me. I had to stay at the shelter for 3 long days to see if anyone would come and find me. No one did. No one wanted to adopt me either, they thought I was too old, the shelter thought I was 9! Dr Pam, from River Rd Animal Hospital, in Puyallup says I am not near that old. They think I am b/t 6 & 8. I went to the vet today to have my teeth cleaned and several extracted. No one took care of my teeth during my life and they were pretty icky. I also have an eye that appears to have no site left, the vet called it KCS. That is from neglect when I had dry eye. The other one appears to be salvagable with Cyclosporine drops. My ears were gross too, from years of neglect but they are now clean and my foster family is putting Mometomax in them once a day.
Well now in my foster home, I get to eat really good food, Natures Variety, Lamb and sometimes I get some raw put in there too. You should see the bed I get to sleep on, it looks like a catchers mitt and its thick and very comfy.
Thanks for checking on me, come back again soon.

Introducing Grizz
Grizz came to us from the Tacoma shelter. He was a stray, neutered, UTD. The shelter thought he was 9, we believe him to be b/t 6-8.
He does have advanced KCS in one eye but the other one is responding well to cyclosporine and will need it the rest of his life.
This is a wonderful dog, kind, gentle & did I mention GIGANTIC!!! He weighs 79#'s and is not fat!! He is the largest bulldog I have ever seen. He gets along with all of our dogs.
Truly a wonderful older gentleman. Please have a current app on file. Grizz will not be placed outside of Division V, will not be shipped. You must be willing to drive to get him. www.rescuebulldogs.org or www.cascadebulldogrescue.org
